Can I hear a "thank gawd"?!!?!? Haley has been voted off AI! It's about time. She's a mediocre singer who used her body to score points. I don't like that.
Haley is actually a very beautiful young woman. Her long flowing hair goes right along with those long legs. She is a looker - and I'll give her that. Her voice though, is just ok. Good enough for high school choir and that's it. She isn't anywhere near the same league as Melinda, Jordan or Lakisha. She just didn't belong. Yet every week as her clothing started disappearing little by little, she was voted to stay because of it. Worst of all - she knew it.
While AI is by far not my favorite show - it is one of the few that I felt could be watched by the entire family. I didn't have to worry about explaining anything to YS well before his time - or mine. I didn't have to this season either - don't get me wrong. But it was on it's way. YS is still too young to catch the sarcasm in Simon's voice when he gave his opinion. That helped a lot along with the fact that Haley was kicked off before she came out with pasties on and a top that "malfunctions".
Thank you America for voting her off.
Please take Sanjaya out next week.

She IS a looker and it is too bad she is gone. The flowing hair and legs you described so well were a welcome highlight of an otherwise mediocre season of AI.
Come on! How dare that show offer up a self described "human beat box", a balding Sailor and a few capable Aretha Franklin immitators and expect America to accept that as entertainment?
If AI did not think Sanjaya has talent, why did they send him to Hollywood? I don't understand what the problem is! Remember that AI is a contest to find the best, most appealing ENTERTAINER who can accumulate the most VOTES. It is NOT some project designed to scientificaly identify the best VOCAL TALENT.
Sanjaya is the only fresh performer on there that manages to distinguish himself from the pack EACH AND EVERY WEEK. True, he does not have a great voice but the kid actually entertains while everyone else is merely mooning about the stage performing above average karaoke.
Anymore this season, I just turn the volume low and read until Sanjaya comes on.
...Then I get the phone number to vote, turn off the TV (...choosing to listen to Some Rachel Yamagata or My Chemical Romance to cleanse the pallet, of course) and then I vote SEVERAL DOZEN TIMES in an effort to make that show BETTER by keeping Sanjaya!
He is the only REAL entertainer on there this season anyway(other than Simon)!

Oh look! A tweenie emo has read my blog! I can't tell you how much your "chemically romanced" insight means to me.
Of course AI is not scientific,to think so would be absurd. But the idea IS to find what America believes to be the best VOCALIST. Like anything else these days - a great idea is being torn down by small minds. People who have nothing better to do than hit redial do not represent the true feelings of the voters. It only means that you are confident in the fact that by dialing more than once is the only way to assure that your particular singer advances.
As far as Haley goes, she is a very pretty woman - no doubt about it. But selling your body to advance in a singing competition is pathetic. If that 's the type of entertainment that you're looking for - you need to be on a different channel - the kind you pay for. When you grow up you can order them.
